Immerse yourself in a holistic approach to surfing combining physical, mental and emotional development created by Local Surf Instructor Walter Suazo and Yoga Therapist Karen Patterson. Born and raised on the beach, Suazo is attuned to the ocean's rhythm. Passionate about teaching the art of surfing, he has seamlessly integrated his career as a surf instructor into his lifestyle. Leading daily technical yet mindful surf lessons, Walter inspires inner power and encourages confidence, transforming fear into faith. With years of experience, Walter is a passionate leader and an expert at introducing those who love the ocean to the art of surfing.
Patterson utilizes dynamic yoga poses and targeted breathwork to enhance your surfing and mental capacities in and out of the water. Staying centered in the body and mind is essential to a developing surf practice. Both disciplines compliment each other in foundation and fundamentals. Our program aims to instill muscle memory for optimal board performance, cultivate mental focus for challenging waves, and tap into your energetic flow for a harmonious surf experience.
Following invigorating surf sessions, nourish your body with local grown, home-cooked vegetarian meals. Prepared with love by seasoned chef Estefania Perez del Solar, these meals add a delightful authentic culinary element to your retreat.
